So I watched this movie. Ho hum.
My first impression was that this is going to be one of those boring, character driven, plot driven, acting driven movies. And I was correct.
The next thing you ask, is that is this a good movie, or a bad one. Unfortunately for both of us, I don't know. The problem of this movie is that it's fundamentally split into two parts. One is when our main character is very wooden, very one dimensional. The other is that he actually shows some subtle signs of actually being human. Maybe that's the point of the movie, but I felt very disconnected to our protagonist for the first half. I don't know what to think now.
The strongest part of the movie is when he has to chose between protecting his country or his son. The point being that everything we does, he does for his son.
The Good Shepherd is a movie about a man and his life in the CIA
